𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬.

We`ve learned this the hard way over the years - and so has Stigmata. For that, we are grateful.

SONIC SLAUGHTER , organised and staged by us on 29 August 2026 at Main Sports Bar & Restaurant, was a remarkable show.

For one thing, it fell smack in the middle of a super-long weekend. For another, Colombo was bursting at the seams with events. Yet, given the circumstances, we had a solid turnout - proving once again that the Heavy Metal/Hard Rock community in this country is hardly dwindling.

Au contraire. It is healthy, vibrant, and bustling with new generational life!

We were delighted to see so many familiar kindred souls - some after many moons - alongside a host of new faces and youngsters experiencing the madness.

And there is something truly magical about seeing parents proudly and comfortably bringing their little ones along, garbed in tiny Metal tees, then watching those kids go absolutely berserk as though they are right at home.

After doing this for 26 years, that is one of the things that still puts a massive smile on our faces.

Because it tells us we must have done something right.

We had a lot of fun. We made some glorious noise. And we chiselled some great memories into the annals that night.

As many of you know, organising a decent live concert in this economy is a bloody tough undertaking - between the myriad logistical hurdles and the exorbitant cost of practically everything. And, of course, it takes a small army to make an event like this happen.

SONIC SLAUGHTER was made possible by an incredible ecosystem of friends, collaborators, partners and people who continue to have our backs.
