Stigmata – Sri Lanka’s pioneering progressive metal quintet – has been a driving force in the Southeast Asian performance arts scene for over 25 years. Originating from Colombo, the band is revered for its groundbreaking originality, electrifying live performances, and signature sound that fuses diverse musical styles into a distinctly Sri Lankan sonic identity.

Beyond their music, Stigmata has played a critical role in shaping Sri Lanka’s Rock/Metal ecosystem—integrating new technology, strategic partnerships, and professional networks with venues, brands, and conglomerates to create value for fans and stakeholders alike.

With four full-length albums, over 20 singles, award-winning music videos, and global performances under their belt, their influence on local culture and international stages is undeniable. Stigmata has waved the Sri Lankan flag proudly across the world—from cricket stadiums to world-class amphitheatres—earning features on Discovery Channel, BBC Radio, MTV Asia, and Triple J Radio. Most recently, they performed at Dubai’s Desert Inferno XXVIII and XXIX, sharing the stage with heavyweights like Evile, Malevolent Creation, and Project Renegade.

Their fiercely loyal global fanbase—affectionately called the Saints—stands as a testament to the band’s staying power and creative evolution.

In 2025, Stigmata celebrates a monumental 25-year journey with the release of their fifth studio album, international tours, explosive homecoming shows, exclusive merch drops, and a renewed commitment to pushing boundaries as one of the most unpredictable and innovative acts in extreme music today.
