Psalms of Conscious Martyrdom is where the band signed up with M Entertainment and released what is considered to date to be the most brutal and complex body of work ever released on that label. POCM saw the quintet flex their musical prowess, leaving no stone unturned, creating a robust and ambitious record comprised of world music, authentic Sri Lankan rhythms and sounds (the album starts with a Conch shell!), is stylistically vast with progressive layers of melody, harmony, and musicality. The lyrics and themes delve into astral voyages, Faustian gambits, explorations of etheric realms etc., and POCM too was praised around the world, and was picked as one of the Top 10 Must Have Albums for the Year in the USA, Australia, Germany, UK and India. The album spawned the hits and live favourites ‘Spiralcoma’, ‘A Dead Rose Wails for Light’, ‘Purer (Libera Nos a Malo)’, and the fan-adored anthem ‘March of the Saints’.
